Photographic Competition/Exhibition 2011
An amazing entry of 170 adult and 54 children entries made the judging by Professor Richard Cormack very difficult. He was most impressed by the quality and standard of the exhibits.
Thanks are extended to the exhibitors; the members of the Outreach and Christian Aid Committees, as well as the congregation who set up the exhibition; acted as stewards; and dispensed coffee. Particularly thanks are due to Brenda Hall who acted as secretary and took charge of the photographic entries from start to finish; to Bob Mitchell for organising the exhibition, to Eleanor Black for organising the rotas for steward and coffee as well as the musical interludes; to Ian and Cath McIntosh for accepting the handling the entries; and to the History Society for the use of Exhibition boards and projection equipment (and thanks to Albert Lawrie for setting this up).
A magnificent total of £842 was raised for our mission partners at Mwandi Mission in Zambia.
The Best in Show adult entry was from Margaret Cook while the Best Children entry was from Millie Costa-SA.
Sincere thanks to all who attended and supported the exhibition.
